POSITION: DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT MARKETING………LOCATION: LOUISVILLE, KY
REPORTS TO: VP OF MARKETING
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Director of Product Marketing will be responsible for ensuring that company solutions are properly positioned “downstream” for our sales team, partners, current and prospective clients. Working closely with the product team, the Director of Product Marketing will help shape and deliver the messaging and positioning for company’s solutions, and develop sales materials and tools that allow the sales and marketing teams to effectively deliver that messaging. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits are crucial. The Director of Product Marketing will be an expert in company’s buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the sales personnel. Finally, the Director of Product Marketing should be the type of person that focuses on tangible outputs, not just ideas.
POSITION FUNCTIONS:
-This person would be a critical component of the marketing department, delivering key product positioning and messaging that differentiates company’s products in the market
-Sales enablement communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products
-Product launch plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
-Market intelligence be the expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria, as well as our competitors and how to beat them
-Demand generation develop the strategy and work in conjunction with other team members to drive demand and lead generation at the product level
-Oversee production of marketing materials and sales tools
-This downstream focused position will work very closely with upstream focused Product Marketing personnel within the Product Group, especially the VP of Product Marketing and Product Managers, to develop relevant and impactful messaging and materials

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree
EXPERIENCE (AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS):
o Must have at least 5 years diversified sales, marketing, or product experience, including at least 2 years in a field facing role.
o Must have healthcare industry experience
o Prefer candidates that have worked in both entrepreneurial as well as established company environments
o Some exposure to both direct and channel sales is required
o An understanding of healthcare IT and the healthcare revenue cycle is strongly preferred
o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
o Must be familiar with all Microsoft office products, especially excel and powerpoint
o Must be able to tell a story in written and presentation formats
o Ability to produce impactful sales and selling tools
o Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms is preferred
o Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
o Basic analytical and financial skills required for market segmentation, research and market sizing
